With old cars, it always seems to feel like you’re taking it for a WOF. Six monthly WOFs for old cars is a bit mean, but I wouldn’t trust it any other way, with the state of the rubbish on our roads.

Okay, it’s been a while since my last post, but the car has still been progressing. I left off with the exhaust on the ground waiting for exhaust gaskets, and needing to replace the valve cover gasket. The parts arrived, so I got on with it.
Sometimes when working on cars, things just don’t do what you want them to do. Today was one of those days.
Another six months down, so last weekend it was time for another Warrant of Fitness on the Rover.
The final step in the hardware part of the Speeduino install is to fit the Wideband O2 sensor. This requires the exhaust being removed.
Just a quick post to update on my ownership of the S401.
Chucked the Actioncam on the back of the M3 the other day and recorded the exhaust. Standard exhaust, cats have been replaced with resonators. No O2 sensors, so running a bit rich.
Has a hearty rasp, thats for sure!
