So yeah, seems i made it angry and exceeded the limit for attachments on Part 1. Oh well.
On the flip side, there were a lot of absolutely beautiful E-Types there this year. My first time seeing these in person, its really increased my opinion of these cars.
Opening the hood on this one didnt seem like it would be a good idea on concrete…. it was touching the ground!
This XK wowed me, the paint was lovely. So much metal in the paint, and a great shape.
There were a couple of very nice later model XJRs too
This D-Type (apparently a rep) racer was a highlight of the show. The balls the drivers must’ve had to race these things!
The London Taxi was a lot bigger than i expected
There was also a really decent selection of two wheelers on show. Sadly as im not really a bike guy they all kinda looked the same to me
Another disappointment was the fact there was only one single Morris Marina on display. It really makes me want to get a big garage, and start saving these cars before they are all gone, so that i can bolster the attendance at shows.
The Rootes Group club had a good showing too, with a few Hunters around
This little Jowett had an interesting paintjob… it wasnt paint at all. The body from the doors back was covered in leather (whether it was actual leather or not, pass).
On the way out i spotted this little Cooper S with some tasty mods.
Once again passing through the carpark spotted some more gems.
Like this 325i Cab
Spotted another very tidy Minor up the road. Surprised this wasnt in the show TBH. Loved the wide wheels on this.
And of course, finally, a cheeky shot of Alton
