Proving that I have too many cars, and not enough motivation, I finally got around to polishing the very yellow headlights on the Honda.
Similar to how I polished the headlights on the Mini, I used the polishing ball on the drill and PlastX to polish the yellow hazing off.
This isn’t the first, and won’t be the last time I polish these lights. I should probably start looking at protectants to stop them yellowing again, but it’s easy enough to polish them every few months (or years).
This is what I was starting with. Very yellow, and very cloudy. The beam pattern has been a bit rubbish for a while. It looks better in the photo than in person.
And after a couple of minutes polishing, this is the result
The drivers side got the same treatment
Makes a big difference when they are clear, and should hopefully help with the woeful light output this car has.
