The MX5 is still running rich, and I’m still not happy. Without ODB2 though, or any proper diagnostic system, it’s time to bust out the multimeter and get probing.

There isn’t a much greater, simple pleasure in life than doing an Italian Tune Up on a car.
Since obtaining the car its been running very rich, pouring carbon out of the exhaust and blowing plumes of black smoke. Today I had a look to see if I could fix it.
Well I guess this will set the tone for the rest of what I will find in the car.
I’ll blame watching far too much Wheeler Dealers for this one.
This is a Public Service Announcement. Rubbish low quality EFI fuel hose is being passed off as good quality, and is failing in a short period of time.
I finally got the balls today to fix something that has bugged me about the car since I got it. The saggy bonnet liner.
It was a stunning day outside today, so I decided to get out and do some much needed work on the Rover.
I had some spare time this evening, so decided to finally unpack the replacement sunroof panel I purchased a couple of weeks ago.
The Rover has been running pretty well recently, and I have been using it every opportunity. Its been great, but unfortunately the other day whilst under the bonnet I noticed something that really annoyed me.
