Like usual, I don’t mess around when I get a new toy, so after work I cracked into the Rover again.

Since getting the car, it had a really bad surge at cruise. Internet wisdom pointed towards the throttle potentiometer/position sensor.
Following on from yesterdays post, I did some more cleaning today.
Just a quick post to update on my ownership of the S401.
We went away for a long weekend, and of course we HAD to take the S401 for a decent shakedown after the work I did.
“Soft Touch” interior trim. One of the worst ideas in a long time.
The last thing left in my maintenance overhaul of the S401 was to do the oils for the transmission and differential. I decided to take advantage of having access to a hoist and decent tools whilst at work today, and changed them.
The S401 will be put into service as a Taxi for the next couple of days when family is up visiting, so I thought I should give it a quick spruce up.
Well its been 8 days now since the car was delivered. Whats the verdict?
According to the sticker on the windscreen, the car wasnt due for another oil change for another 1000km or so….
