It seems like I’m stuck in a never-ending loop of dodgy fuel hoses. The TVR is no different.
Tastes Like Petrol
More progress was made on the old TVR today. Just small, but important things, again.
Not much has happened due to me having the flu, but the weather was too good not to take the TVR for a quick blat around the block
Not one to let a nasty cold get in the way of progress, I did some more work on the TVR today.
So I guess this is where we start then.
I’m a sucker for old British cars that need love. It just so happens that they keep finding me.
There was one thing left that I hadn’t tested for in my quest to sort the idle issue, and that was the fuel pressure.
After 300,000km, the old suspension was no doubt a little on the tired side. An easy fix is to fit a set of adjustable suspension. So, that’s what I did.
Another part of trying to sort the idle is to replace the idle control valve, which has been a bit suspect from the beginning.
In my quest to smooth out my idle issue, I wanted to remove and check the DME and VNC units.
