Well here we are, I finally made it to my first track day.
Tastes Like Petrol
With my very first track day looming, I had a lot of work to do to get the Jazz ready and add some nice little improvements along the way.
Winter sucks. Not only is it cold and dark, but it also makes working in the garage a somewhat unappealing prospect. That, and having other projects on the go, caused a bit of a slowdown with the Marina.
When you think “racecar” you don’t tend to think “1.3L shopping trolley”, well, most people don’t anyway.
To celebrate 10 years of ownership, I thought I would finally treat the Fit to some new shocks and a mild lowering. It didn’t quite go as planned.
The time has come, Lucas has been moved onto a new owner.
Just a quick update. Since people weren’t being asphyxiated when following me anymore, they had a tendency to sit on my bumper now. I wanted to make it a bit more obvious I was braking, so they wouldn’t become one with my bumper.
Lucas has a drinking problem. No matter how I drive him, or where I drive him, the fuel consumption is horrific. I needed to fix it, or I couldn’t afford to keep driving him.
It’s been a while since Lucas has been featured in a post here. Mainly because he has been flawless, but also partially because I haven’t driven him much.
Having run out of MIG gas, which then nuked my momentum and motivation on the bodywork repairs, I decided to change path, and do something I actually enjoy; mechanical and electrical work.
